Welcome to my periodic round-up of things I've found online that make me smile, cry, laugh, think, shout, or drop my jaw. 


Mental_Floss offers you some fun with words: 48 Things You Didn't Know Had Names.
You probably already know the meaning of schadenfreude but another super-specific German word 'vorfreude' describes a kinder, less terrible feeling. The joy you feel when thinking about good things that will happen.


Can you imagine how awesome it would be to win the Big Bang Theory Scholarship?
Starting this week, Big Bang Theory and The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation have established The Big Bang Theory Scholarship Endowment—valued at $4 million dollars.
They're starting with 20 awards, then five more each year, in perpetuity. Read more here.


I identified with every single one of these. And in almost every one, I think people who do it the other way are just plain WRONG!

Abandoned places fascinate me -- especially modern ghost towns or huge, elaborate structures that no longer serve a purpose. Check these out. Some are creepy, others are simply beautiful.
