When you are talking to a person in a ring smaller than yours, someone closer to the center of the crisis, the goal is to help. Listening is often more helpful than talking. But if you're going to open your mouth, ask yourself if what you are about to say is likely to provide comfort and support. If it isn't, don't say it.
We just had our carpet and comfy chairs steam-cleaned while Kane, though excited, kept his shit together and stayed in his bed, largely because of good training and his Thundershirt. If you have an anxious animal at home (of the feline or canine variety), it's worth checking out.

I think the dalmatian looks beautiful that way. By the way, my husband saw nothing wrong with any of those pictures. Which explains everything.
